NSW police charge man with break-in offences at Parkes

A man will appear before court today on charges relating to break, enter and steal offences in the state’s Central West.

Sometime after 4.30pm on Monday (1 July 2019), a break-in occurred at a business on Clarke Street, Parkes. A break, enter and steal offence occurred at an Orion Place address around the same time.

Police attached to Central West Police District were alerted and commenced an investigation into the incidents.

About 12.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 2 July 2019), police executed a search warrant on a Close Street address at Parkes.

Police seized 70 items alleged to be the proceeds of crime.

During the search, police located a 32-year-old man hiding under the house.

He was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station where he was charged with break, enter and steal, and breaching current bail conditions.

The man was refused bail to appear before Parkes Local Court today (Wednesday 3 July 2019)
