NSW police charge man with cannabis supply at Lake Illawarra

A man has been charged after cannabis and cash were seized at a home in Primbee yesterday.

Acting on information, officers from Lake Illawarra Police District Target Action Group executed a search warrant at a home in Primbee about 11.30am (Tuesday 8 December 2020).

During the search, police located a hydroponic setup in the garage.

Police seized a number of cannabis plants, cannabis leaf, steroids, ‘magic mushrooms’ and cash.

These items will undergo forensic analysis.

The total estimated potential street value of the cannabis is $55,000.

A 48-year-old man was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police District, where he was charged with enhanced indoor cultivation plant for commercial purpose, supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, possess anabolic or androgenic steroidal agent, use/consume/waste electricity without authority, and deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court today (Wednesday 9 December 2020).
