NSW police charge man with drug, firearm, property offences at Goulburn

A man will face court today charged with drug supply, firearm and property offences in the state’s south.

Shortly after 10am yesterday (11 December 2019) officers attached to The Hume PD attended a home in Goulburn to serve a notice letter for an unrelated matter.

After knocking on the door, police allegedly heard the sound of a shotgun being cocked from the other side of the door.

A man opened the door before allegedly dropping the shotgun underneath a coffee table. He was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station.

Officers executed a search of the premises and seized a shotgun, ammunition, ‘ice’, war medals, computer equipment and mobile phones.

The 35-year-old man was charged with possess prohibited firearm (shortened firearm), possess firearm whilst unlicensed, not keep firearm safe, possess ammunition while unlicensed, possess prohibited drug supply prohibited drug and goods on premises suspect being stolen.

He was refused bail and is due to face Goulburn Local Court today (Thursday 12 December 2019).
