NSW police charge man with drug, weapon offences at Temora

A man has been charged with weapons and drug offences following a Firearms Prohibition Order in the state’s south west.

Acting on information, about 6.30am yesterday (Tuesday 30 June 2020), officers from Riverina Police District executed three Firearms Prohibition Orders at properties in the Temora area.

During the searches, officers allegedly located and seized firearms, firearm parts, gel blasters, homemade weapons and methylamphetamine (‘ice’).

Following extensive inquiries, a 32-year-old man was arrested and taken to Temora Police Station, where he was charged with 13 firearm offences, possess prohibited article and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Wednesday 1 July 2020).
