NSW police charge man with multiple offences after vehicle stop

A man has been charged with multiple offences following a vehicle stop in Sydney’s south west last month.

About 10pm Wednesday 31 July 2019, officers from Camden Police Area Command were patrolling along Sir Warwick Fairfax Drive, Harrington Park, when they saw a red Holden Commodore utility allegedly commit a traffic offence.

Police stopped the vehicle on Sir Warwick Fairfax Drive, and spoke to the driver and sole occupant, a 45-year-old man.

Inquiries revealed the driver’s licence was suspended.

The 45-year-old Harrington Park man was arrested and taken to Camden Police Station. He was charged with negligent driving, drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, possess prohibited drug (x3), and supply prohibited drug greater indictable and less commercial quantity.

He was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday 1 August 2019, where he was refused bail again to reappear at Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday 20 August 2019
