NSW police charge man with possession of child abuse material at Moree

A man has been charged with the possession of child abuse material in the state’s north.

About 7.10am yesterday (Thursday 13 August 2020), officers attached to New England Police District attended a home in Moree where they seized electronic storage devices allegedly containing explicit photographs of young children.

A 20-year-old man was arrested and taken to Moree Police Station where he was charged with possess child abuse material, resist officer in execution of duty, destroy or damage property and assault officer in execution of duty.

He was bail refused to appear before Moree Local Court today (Friday 14 August 2020).
