NSW police charge man with sexual touching at Raymond Terrace

A man will reappear in court next month following an investigation into the alleged sexual touching of a teenage girl in the state’s Hunter region.

Earlier this month, detectives attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District commenced an investigation following reports a 15-year-old teenage girl had allegedly been sexually touched by a man known to her.

Following extensive inquiries, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Rosetta Way, Raymond Terrace, where they arrested a 36-year-old man about 11am yesterday (Tuesday 29 March 2022).

He was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station and charged with five offences including intentionally sexually touch child over 10yrs, procure child for unlawful sexual activity and use carriage service to menace/harass/offend.

He was refused bail to appear at Raymond Terrace Local Court today (Wednesday 30 March 2022), where he was formally bail refused to reappear at the same court on Monday (4 April 2022).
