NSW police charge teen over aggravated break and enter at Narrabri

A teenager has been charged following an investigation into an aggravated break and enter in the state’s north.

Shortly after 12am on Saturday (10 April 2021), police responded to reports a teenage boy had forced entry to a home on Droulbalgie Street, Narrabri.

The occupants of the home, a man and woman, were woken and confronted the teen who allegedly threatened them with a knife.

The boy demanded the man’s phone and wallet before running from the home.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Following inquiries, police executed a search warrant at a unit on Ugoa Street, during which officers seized items of clothing and a kitchen knife.

About 12.15pm Saturday (10 April 2021), police arrested a 16-year-old boy on Tibbereena Street, Narrabri.

He was taken to Narrabri Police Station and charged with aggravated break enter and steal, and intimidation.

The teen appeared before a children’s court today where he was granted conditional bail to reappear before a children’s court on Wednesday 28 April 2021.
