NSW police charge woman with multiple offences

A woman has been charged with over 100 offences following ongoing investigations into alleged drug related matter and other offences in the state’s south.

In November 2020, detectives attached to the Murray River Police District established Strike Force Adige to investigate drug supply offences in the local area.

About 9.50am yesterday (Thursday 22 July 2021), detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Koonawarra Street, North Albury.

When police entered the premises, it will be alleged that the 27-year-old female occupant attempted to dispose of an amount of methylamphetamine. The woman was then arrested without further incident and taken to Albury Police Station.

A search of the residence located in excess of 40 grams of methylamphetamine, $42,000 cash and other items consistent with drug related activity. Also seized were mobile phones and computers that are to undergo further examination.

Police also executed a search warrant at a storage shed in Catherine Crescent, Lavington. This allegedly located 223 grams of cannabis and a large amount of stolen property.

During the investigation into the drug offences, it was also established that the woman had allegedly offered money to another woman to withdraw her complaint in relation to domestic violence matter. It will be further alleged that the woman also attempted to organise to have a man assaulted at the request of an associate of hers.

The woman has been charged with 102 offences, including:

  • 1 x Owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises
  • 1 x Permit another attempt/administer prohibited drug to self
  • 1 x Knowingly direct activities of criminal group
  • 1 x Recruit other to assist in carrying out criminal activity
  • 1 x Act w/i to influence witness to procure acquittal
  • 3 x Deal with property proceeds of crime
  • 7 x Supply prohibited drug >indictable &
  • 3 x Supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis
  • 60 x Supply prohibited drug
  • 24 x Supply prohibited drug >small &

She has been bail refused to appear at Albury Local Court later today (Friday 23 July 2021).
