NSW police continue search to locate Ernest Mackay

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District will continue their search to locate a 78-year-old man who has gone missing from his Central Coast home at the weekend.

Ernest Mackay was last seen at his Scenic Highway, Doyalson, home about midday on Sunday 12 May 2019. He left the home soon after and hasn’t been seen since.

Family of Mr Mackay reported his disappearance to police due to concerns he had wondered off into bushland that surrounds his home. Police were also told Mr Mackay suffers the early stages of dementia and may have become disorientated.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall with a thin build and grey/black hair. He was last seen wearing King Gee overalls and white gum boots.

Police searched from Scenic Drive at Doyalson until 12.30am today (Tuesday 14 May 2019) and will resume the search from 9am.

Local police will be assisted by personnel from RFS, SES and the VRA.
