NSW police investigate armed robbery at Ingleburn

Detectives have commenced an investigation following an armed robbery in Sydney’s south west overnight.

Police have been told about 1.45am (Tuesday 6 April 2021), an unknown man attended a service station on Stennett Road, Ingleburn.

The man allegedly smashed a window with a metal star picket to gain entry inside, before stealing cash and cigarettes and fleeing the scene on foot.

The employee escaped through a side door to a nearby business to contact police and was uninjured.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was forensically examined by specialist police.

Patrols of the surrounding area were conducted; however, the man was not located.
