A man has died following a shooting in Sydney’s CBD overnight.
About 10.25pm (Thursday 17 June 2021), emergency services attended Bridge Street, near George Street, following reports a man had been shot.
The man – who has not been formally identified – was treated at the scene before he was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital and died a short time later.
A crime scene was established and has been forensically examined.
Officers attached to the Sydney City Police Area Command, assisted by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
