NSW police investigate man’s death

Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in a home at Harrington Park earlier today.

About 7.30am (Sunday 17 February 2019), police have been told the male resident of a home in Westwood Court awoke to the sound of his dogs barking.

The 44-year-old resident went to investigate and challenged a male intruder located in the loungeroom of his home.

Following a physical confrontation, the intruder lost consciousness.

Neighbours were alerted and two members of the public commenced CPR on the unconscious man.

Emergency services were contacted, and Ambulance paramedics attended but were unable to revive him.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command also attended and established a crime scene at the home.

The male resident is at Narellan Police Station assisting police with their inquiries.

Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
