NSW police investigate public place shooting at Blacktown

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command are investigating a public place shooting that occurred in Blacktown last night.

About 9.20pm (Wednesday 18 December 2019), an altercation occurred between a group of people at a hotel Sackville Street, Lalor Park.

The group left the hotel and got into two separate vehicles, a white Toyota Camry and an older model red Magna.

As the vehicles approached the roundabout on Stephen Street it’s believed the occupants of the magna fired a number of shots towards the occupants of the Camry.

One projectile hit the rear of the Camry, fortunately none of the three occupants were injured.

The Magna, being driven by a man and carrying a male passenger, fled the area prior to police arrival.

A crime scene has been established on Stephen Street and investigations are now underway by detectives from Blacktown Police Area Command.
