Police are appealing for information following a suspicious shed fire in the state’s south west.
About 1.30am today (Tuesday 7 January 2020) a fire was reported at Lambie Street, Tumut.
Officers attached to Riverina Police District attended with Fire and Rescue NSW.
Nearby residents were evacuated due to the presence of a number of gas tanks and cylinders being held inside the shed.
A crime scene has been established and initial inquiries suggest the fire was deliberately lit.
Inquiries are continuing and anyone with information or CCTV footage is urged to contact Tumut Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
