NSW police investigating after man stabbed

Detectives have commenced an investigation after a man was stabbed at a home in Sydney’s north-west overnight.

About 9.30pm (Saturday 6 March 2021), emergency services were called to a home on Cornell Place at Rouse Hill, following reports a man had been injured.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command attended and found a 22-year-old man with a single stab wound to his back.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital where he is undergoing surgery. He remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police have been the man was injured after he and two friends, aged 22 and 23, were involved in an altercation in the driveway of the home with three uninvited guests who had been requested to leave.

A crime scene has been established as inquiries continue.
