NSW police lay charges after police locate housebreaking implements during person search

A man will face court today on various charges after being stopped and searched by transport police in Sydney’s south-west.

Just before 11pm (Saturday 21 December 2019), officers from Police Transport Command stopped and spoke to a 39-year-old man while patrolling Liverpool Railway Station.

Checks revealed the man was wanted for allegedly breaching bail conditions and he was arrested.

During a subsequent search of the man, police located cannabis and drug paraphernalia, restricted substances not prescribed to him, a balaclava, gloves, pliers, a screw driver, and a Medicare card and mail addressed to someone else.

The man was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with possess housebreaking implements, goods in custody, possess prohibited drug, possess prescribed restricted substance, and breach of bail.

He has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 22 December 2019).
