NSW police release CCTV images after robbery and assault at Liverpool

Police have released CCTV images and are appealing for public information following the aggravated robbery and assault of a man at Liverpool earlier this year.

About 11pm on Friday 4 June 2021, emergency services were called to Liverpool Railway Station after a man was allegedly assaulted by two men.

Police were told the 24-year-old man was punched in the face, causing him to fall to the ground, hit his head and become unconscious.

The two men stole personal items from the injured man before they fled the scene.

Members of the public rendered assistance before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived. He was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Initial inquiries were conducted by local police before officers from the Police Transport and Public Safety Command’s Proactive Crime Team South West took carriage of the investigation.

As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with ongoing inquiries.

He is depicted in the CCTV as being Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged between 18 and 25, with a large build, long ponytail and facial hair.

He is depicted wearing light grey track pants, light grey shoes and a dark t-shirt.
