NSW police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Epping

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Sydney’s north west yesterday.

About 8.50am (Sunday 17 January 2021), emergency services were called to intersection of Blaxland Road and Brigg Road, Epping following reports a KTM motorcycle and Mitsubishi tip truck had collided.

The 29-year-old male rider was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.

The Mitsubishi driver, a 46-year-old man, was not injured. He was taken to Ryde Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
