NSW police seek information after break and enters at Wagga Wagga

An investigation is underway after two separate break and enters in Wagga Wagga earlier today.

About 4.30am (Tuesday 14 July 2020), three men forced entry to a home on Lusher Avenue, Turvey Park, and stole a handbag.

Two occupants, who were home at the time, were alerted by the sound of a car alarm, and woke to find three men fleeing on foot along Urana Street.

The bolt of a firearm was located nearby.

In a separate incident, shortly after 6am the same day, two men forced entry to a home on Kennedy Avenue, Kooringal, and threatened the occupant with a firearm.

The occupant, a man aged in his 30s, was struck in the head twice, before the two men fled on foot with a mobile phone and other items.

Officers from Riverina Police District attended and commenced inquiries into the two incidents. At this stage it is unknown if the two incidents are linked.
