NSW police seek information after building fire at Cudgen

Police are appealing for information after a registered club south of Tweed Heads was damaged by fire this week.

Emergency services were called to Wommin Bay Road, Cudgen, about 3.25pm on Monday 4 May 2020, when the club was seen to be well alight.

Fire and Rescue NSW crews took several hours to extinguish the blaze, with aerial fire-fighting assistance from Queensland Fire and Emergency Service.

No one was injured in the fire, but the building suffered significant damage.

Officers from Tweed/Byron Police District attended and commenced inquiries into the cause of the blaze.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, especially those who may have filmed the fire.
