NSW police seek information after home invasion at Dubbo

Police are appealing for public assistance following a home invasion in the state’s west at the weekend.

Officers have been told about 3.30am on Saturday 9 October 2021, the occupants of a home on Tamworth Street, Dubbo – an 85-year-old man and 84-year-old woman – woke to a noise inside their home.

They found two unknown males searching the house, before they threatened the occupants with secateurs.

The elderly couple were detained by the men, who demanded firearms, before fleeing with cash and the occupant’s vehicle – a Ford Fairlane – which has been located.

No injuries were reported from the incident.

Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District attended, established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Both men are described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance and were both wearing dark hooded jumper/jackets, face masks and gloves
