NSW police seek information after kangaroo killed at Albury

An investigation is underway after a kangaroo was found killed and mutilated in the state’s Murray River region earlier this week.

Yesterday morning (Thursday 2 December 2021), a member of the public discovered the kangaroo on a walking trail on Bila Lane within the Wonga Wetlands, Albury. The kangaroo had been killed by a bow and arrow and was then mutilated and left on the path.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District were notified today (Friday 3 December 2021) and commenced an investigation.

The incident is believed to have occurred between 3pm Wednesday (1 December 2021) and 6am yesterday (Thursday 2 December 2021).
