NSW police seek information after pedestrian injured in fail to stop crash

Police are appealing for information after a fail to stop crash where a woman was injured in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 11.50am (Wednesday 17 November 2021), a woman was hit by a car as she crossed the driveway of a local business on Smithfield Road and Fitzgerald Avenue, Edensor Park. The car left the scene without stopping.

The woman – aged 66 – sustained injuries to her lower leg and was taken to Fairfield District Hospital for treatment.

Officers from Fairfield Police Area Command attended the scene and have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The car is described as a silver sedan with partial registration BVA.

As investigations continue police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
