NSW police seek information after warehouse destroyed by fire at Botany

Investigators have released vision and are appealing for public assistance as inquiries continue into a suspicious warehouse fire in Sydney’s south earlier this year.

Emergency services were called to a large commercial property on Sir Joseph Banks Street, Botany, at 8.30pm on Monday 20 January 2020, following reports of a fire.

Officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command and Fire and Rescue NSW attended to find a warehouse alight.

The blaze was extinguished, but the warehouse sustained approximately $14 million worth of damage.

Detectives established Strike Force Lynette and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire.

Following inquiries, the fire was deemed as suspicious and police are appealing for anyone who may information to contact South Sydney Police Area Command on (02) 8338 7399.
