NSW police seek information on armed robbery of Windsor hotel

Police have released CCTV vision and are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a hotel in Sydney’s north-west last month.

About 9.30pm on Sunday 18 September 2022, police were called to a licensed premises on George Street at Windsor, following reports of an armed robbery.

Police have been told a man – who was wearing dark clothing and a face covering – gained entry to the premises, threatened a female employee, and demanded cash from a till and safe in the hotel’s office.

The woman complied; placing amounts of cash into a bag provided by the man, who then then fled the location via Union Lane.

Although shaken, the woman was not physically injured during the incident.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which underwent forensic examination.

Detectives have since established Strike Force Craigmoor to further investigate the robbery.

As their inquiries continue, strike force investigators have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man depicted is described as being of a medium build, about 170cm-180cm tall, and shown wearing dark coloured clothing and a face covering.
