NSW police seek information over home invasion at Armidale

Investigations have commenced following a home invasion in the state’s Northern Tablelands.

About 4.45am yesterday (Thursday 8 October 2020), two men armed with a knife entered a home on Wigan Avenue at Armidale and threatened a 25-year-old man.

The men left the location with the resident’s wallet before returning a short time later.

They then left in the man’s vehicle, a white Isuzu D-Max, which was located on fire on a bike track near Niagra Street a short time later.

The man was not injured during the incident.

Officers from New England Police District attended and established a crime scene.

An investigation is now underway with police releasing descriptions of two men they believe can assist with their inquiries.

The first man is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall, with a stocky build and a dark complexion.

The second man is described as also being of Caucasian in appearance, about 155cm tall and of a thin build.

Both men were last seen wearing hooded jackets which mostly concealed their faces.
