NSW police seize drugs, $112,000 cash and credit cards; man charged

A man has been charged after police seized drugs, cash and fraudulent identification documents in Sydney’s south west yesterday.

In May 2019, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command’s Intelligence Response Team commenced an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs in the local area.

Following inquiries, detectives, with assistance from the Bass Hill Region Enforcement Squad, executed a search warrant at a house on Madden Street, Oran Park, about 10.40am (Friday 5 July 2019).

During the search, officers located and seized multiple mobile phones, 2.8 grams of a substance, believed to be cocaine, over $112,000 cash, electronic devices, multiple fraudulent NSW drivers licences and credits cards that are alleged to be fraudulently acquired.

A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Narellan Police Station.

A second search warrant was executed about 4.40pm the same day at a house on Butlers Close, West Hoxton. Officers located and seized drug paraphernalia and 4 grams of cocaine.

The man was charged with deal with proceeds of crime, possess prohibited drug and dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 6 July 2019).
