Around 7:35pm, Monday 14 September, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of a residence on fire on Aunger Crescent.
NT Fire and Rescue Service, Police and St John Ambulance attended the scene, where one bedroom was fully engulfed in flames.
Fire crews contained the fire to the bedroom and extinguished the blaze, however the remainder of the residence sustained significant heat and smoke damage.
There were two occupants, aged 36 and 52, in the residence at the time of the incident who were able to safely evacuate the premises.
St John Ambulance assessed them at the scene before conveying them to hospital for further treatment.
A crime scene was declared, with a fire investigator attending the scene.
Investigations are ongoing.
