The Northern Territory Government is managing a Territory-wide ICT outage affecting telecommunications, internet connectivity and operational systems.
The outage commenced at approximately 3:00 am today and has affected multiple NT Government networks and services.
The Joint Emergency Communications Centre (JESCC) has experienced intermittent disruptions to the Police Assistance Line (131 444), and callers may experience delays.
Triple Zero (000) emergency services remain operational and are not affected.
An Incident Management Team has been established at JESCC, bringing together representatives from NT Police, St John Ambulance, Fire and Emergency Services, the Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) and NT Health to coordinate the response.
Business continuity arrangements have been activated to maintain essential services, including frontline policing, custody and prosecution operations, with no further escalation in operational impacts reported.
DCDD is leading the technical investigation, supported by service providers. The cause remains under investigation, and a timeframe for full restoration has not yet been confirmed.
Maintaining emergency communications and public safety remains the priority.
Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
Members of the public should continue to call Triple Zero (000) in an emergency.
