One person has died following a two car crash on SH3 near the Awakino Tunnel.
The crash was reported to emergency services shortly before 12.30pm.
Two people received minor injuries in the crash.
A police investigation into the cause of this crash is underway. The Serious Crash Unit is examining the scene.
