Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on Te Rapa Road, Te Rapa, involving a car and a cyclist.
Police were called about 1.30pm.
Initial indications are the cyclist is seriously injured.
The road will be closed and diversions will be in place.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
