Hutt Valley Police are investigating a sudden death following reports of a person with serious injuries at an Upper Hutt address this afternoon.
Police responded to the address on Akatarawa Road around 2:20pm where the injured person deteriorated at the scene and died.
One person located at the address is assisting Police with enquiries as we work to determine the circumstances of the death.
A scene guard is being put in place and the public can expect to see an increased Police presence in the area while our enquiries continue.
