Police are now in a position to release the names of the two woman that died following a crash on SH 3, Eltham on Wednesday 31 January.
They were 49-year-old Kylie-Jane Rebecca Savage, known as Janey Hardy, from Eltham and 47-year-old Claire Teresa Joy Te Hiwi from Palmerston North.
Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this difficult time.
An investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
