Police are now able to name the man who died following a crash on Thames Coast Road, Te Mata, on 27 May.
He was Gregory Stevens, aged 59, from Thornton Bay.
Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
