Police are seeking witnesses following a serious assault in Wairoa in the early hours of Sunday 12 May.
A 27-year-old man presented himself at Wairoa Hospital after receiving stab wounds outside a residential address on Lion Street shortly before 1am.
The man is recovering at Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
“We want to hear from anyone who was at that address or in that area of Wairoa early Sunday morning,” says Detective Sergeant Kevin Ford.
