Off-duty member caught drink driving

An off-duty police officer has been detected allegedly drink driving in Frankston overnight.

The female Leading Senior Constable from Crime Command was intercepted at an alcohol and drug testing site in Frankston about 12.10am this morning (20 July).

She tested positive to a preliminary breath test before undergoing an evidentiary test, where she returned an alleged reading of .059.

The officer lost her licence and has been disqualified for three months.

She was also issued with a $496 infringement notice for drink driving.

Professional Standards Command has been notified as per standard procedure.
