A serving police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic-violence related offences.
In April 2023, officers attached to the Professional Standards Command (PSC) commenced an investigation under Strike Force Duomi into reports of domestic-violence related incidents at Albury.
Following inquiries, a 57-year-old sergeant – attached to a command in the North West Metropolitan Region – was arrested today (Tuesday 31 October 2023), and charged with two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic), contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic), and three counts of do act etc intending to pervert the course of justice.
He was granted conditional bail to appear ay Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday 21 November 2023.
The officer’s employment status is currently under review.
