Officer charged over alleged domestic violence offences – Central Metropolitan Region

A police officer has been charged over alleged historic domestic violence offences in Sydney’s west.

In August 2026, Liverpool City Police Area Command commenced an investigation into alleged historic domestic violence offences involving a serving police officer, attached to a specialist command, whilst off duty.

Police will allege the 45-year-old man intimidated a 47-year-old woman known to him and damaged property inside a house in south west Sydney in 2025.

Following inquiries, yesterday (Sunday 6 September 2026), the man was served with a Court Attendance Notice for destroy or damage property (DV) and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).

He is due to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Tuesday 20 October 2026.

The officer’s employment status is under review.
