Officer charged – South West Metropolitan Region 21 September, NSW

A police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the offences that are alleged to have occurred between July 2020 and March 2021.

Following inquiries, a 37-year-old man – who is attached to a South West Metropolitan command – was issued with a Court Attendance Notice yesterday (Monday 20 September 2021) for one count of stalking or intimidation with intent to cause fear of physical or mental harm and 15 counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence.

The officer is due to appear in Burwood Local Court on Wednesday 17 November 2021.

The officer was also served a Provisional ADVO to be heard at Burwood Local Court on Wednesday 13 October 2021.
