A police officer has been charged with possession of a prohibited drug.
Officers from Police Transport Command commenced an investigation after an off-duty senior constable was allegedly found with prohibited drugs in Cockle Bay last Saturday (23 September 2023).
Following inquiries, the 31-year-old man, who is attached to a command in South West Metropolitan Region, was today (Thursday 28 September 2023), issued a court attendance notice for possess prohibited drug.
He is due to face Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 15 November 2023.
The officer’s employment status is under review.
