A police officer has been charged with domestic violence offences in Sydney’s north-west.
In June 2024, following an investigation by officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command into alleged domestic violence-related offences, a detective senior constable – attached to a specialist command – was charged. He remains before the courts.
At this time, an apprehended violence order was served on the man.
In August, officers attached to Riverstone Police Area Command commenced an investigation after receiving reports the officer allegedly breached the conditions of the order by contacting a woman known to him.
Following inquiries, today (Tuesday 22 September 2026), the 36-year-old senior constable attached to a specialist command was arrested and issued with a Court Attendance Notice for three charges of contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic).
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Wednesday 7 October 2026.
The officer’s employment status is under review.
