A police officer will appear in court next year charged with alleged public mischief.
About 2.50pm on Wednesday 1 July 2020, the 32-year-old male senior constable – attached to a specialist command – allegedly made a false report anonymously to the Police Assistance Line.
The officer was issued with a Court Attendance Notice yesterday (Tuesday 29 December 2020), for the offences of false representation resulting in police investigation and give false information person/property in danger.
He is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 4 March 2021.
