A serving police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.
Between May 2021 and July 2022, officers from North-West Metropolitan Region commenced an investigation into reports of alleged domestic violence-related offences.
Following extensive inquiries – a 45-year-old senior constable – attached to a specialist command – was arrested on Friday (2 September 2022).
She was charged with three counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, two counts of contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO, two counts of use postal/similar service to menace/harass/be offensive and Attempt to breach prohibition/restriction in Domestic AVO.
The woman was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday 3 September 2022.
She was given conditional bail to appear before the same court on Tuesday 20 September 2022.
The officer’s employment status is under review.
