A police officer has been charged with breach of bail in the state’s south.
On Friday 10 October 2025, officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police Area Command were notified a man had allegedly attended locations in the Illawarra region.
Following inquiries, about 6.50pm on Wednesday (15 October), a 49-year-old man – a Senior Sergeant attached to Southern Region command – was served with a court attendance notice for breach of bail and will appear in Wollongong District Court on Tuesday 28 October 2025.
The officer remains suspended with pay.
