A serving officer has been charged over alleged assault offences.
In March 2019, investigators from Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation into reports of an assault.
A senior constable attached to Western Region was issued with a court attendance notice on Tuesday 20 August 2019 for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.
The officer is due to appear in Armidale Local Court on Thursday 3 December 2020.
