An off-duty police officer has been charged with drink driving in the New England region.
Just after 11pm yesterday (Wednesday 12 June 2019), a vehicle was being driven in a southernly direction along Frome Street, Moree, when it left the road and hit a tree.
The a 30-year-old female driver notified police.
Officers from New England police District attended and subjected the driver to a roadside breath test, which returned a positive reading.
The woman, who is an off-duty senior constable from Western Region, was arrested and taken to Moree Police Station.
She underwent a breath analysis, which returned a reading of 0.099.
A Field Court Attendance Notice was served for the offence of drive with middle range PCA.
She is due to appear at Moree Local Court on Monday 22 July 2019.
