A 46-year-old male senior constable from the Brisbane Region has been served with a notice to appear in Court following an alleged incident in August.
The charge relates to the alleged excessive use of force against a member of the public that occurred in Fortitude Valley on August 4.
The officer has been stood down from duty and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on November 9.

This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.
