Olympic ring stolen during Box Hill South burglary

Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after an Olympic ring was stolen during a burglary in Box Hill South last Friday.

It is believed unknown offenders forced entry into a Station Street home about 7.20pm on 10 July.

The offenders stole an Olympic ring, three Versace watches and other jewellery items before fleeing the scene.

The Olympic jewellery piece was commissioned for the Australian Olympic Boxing Team and holds sentimental value to the victim.

Investigators have released an image of the unique ring in the hope someone may recognise it and come forward.
