OMCG Drug and Firearm Charges 10 December

The Western Australian Police Force searched several properties overnight throughout the Perth Metropolitan region as part of an ongoing effort to disrupt the criminal activity associated with outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Detectives attached to multiple units including Gang Crime Squad, Rapid Apprehension Squad, Drug and Firearm Squad, Regional Operations Group and the Tactical Response Group, executed a number of coordinated warrants in the suburbs of Como, Kinross, Greenmount, Scarborough and Osborne Park.

As a result of the operation; three motorcycles were seized, five people were arrested and one person was charged in relation to a number of drug and firearm offences.

About 5.20pm on Saturday 9 December, officers executed a Criminal Investigations Act at a residence in Kinross. Upon arrival, a 46-year-old Hells Angels prospect was arrested in the drive way.

It will be alleged, during a search of the home police located a loaded firearm and several rounds of ammunition hidden inside the couch. Various quantities of cocaine, methylamphetamine, steroids and prescription drugs were also located.

A 46-year-old Kinross man was charged with:

1 x Not Being Licensed or Permitted to Possess a Firearm, Possessed a Defaced Firearm

1 x Unlicensed Person Possess Firearm/Ammunition

1 x Possessed a Prohibited Drug (Cocaine)

1 x Possess Prohibited Drug Namely, Dexamphetamine

1 x Possessed a Prohibited Drug

1 x Possessed a Prohibited Drug (Methylamphetamine)

He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, 10 December 2023.
